Dr. Paul Kang earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Southern California (USC), a private research university in the United States. USC is recognized for its contributions to educational research, including studies in college preparatory education and statistical data analysis.

Glen School, College Preparatory, was established in 1991 with a mission to prepare students for higher education. Since 1993, it has served as a satellite campus of Montclair College Preparatory School in Glendale, California. Dr. Paul Kang's duties included curriculum design, academic program development, and student instruction.
